Independent patisserie brand Poppy and Sebastian and lifestyle brand Mar Mar Co are coming together to launch a new one off concept in Kingly Court, Carnaby, London W1.
Poppy & Sebastian make beautiful patisseries – magnificent works of art that mix simplicity, seasonality and playfulness in their creations. They are creative patisseries that are a feast for the eye but with a focus on seasonal ingredients, quirkiness and the extraordinary. Classics like ‘Crème Brulee’ and ‘Mont Blanc’ are turned upside down, and in the ‘Le Snickers’ the snickers bar becomes an exploration of crispy peanut croustillant, domes of milk chocolate cremeux, crème brulee and salted caramel.
The Kingly Street shop is a French-style modern patisserie. There are limited seats for tastings served with Postcard Teas – the best tea in London. As well as being able to sit in and enjoy or takeaway the sensational patisseries, customers can buy almost anything they see in the shop. Beautiful objects of design are for sale from independent lifestyle brand Mar Mar Co including kitchenware, home accessories and gift ideas for Christmas. Products include: Japanese glassware, British ceramics, Danish wool blankets, handwoven throws from India, traditional copper cookie cutters, jade green rolling pins, colourful tea towels and newly commissioned ‘Trooks’: hooks and fridge magnets made from foraged wood. A small range of handmade straw slippers made by one of the last remaining makers in Denmark, will appear mid-December. Prices range from £4.00-£100.00.
